Cancellation policy — Purple Potato

Subscriptions carry an initial minimum term as stated on your order — six (6) months for our standard website plans, and twelve (12) monthsfor our Platform plan and for any plan billed as an annual prepayment — measured from the date of your first successful payment (your site typically goes live shortly after). You can cancel at any time effective at the end of your committed term — there is no separate cancellation charge, but cancellation does not shorten or refund the minimum term you signed up for. After the initial term, your subscription continues month-to-month and you can cancel effective at the end of any billing period. Where a longer term was agreed in exchange for discounted or prepaid pricing, that term applies.

How to cancel

Sign in to your dashboard at purplepotato.io and click Cancel subscription. You'll be taken to our payment provider's portal to confirm. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current committed term — your site stays online until then.

If you can't access your account, email us at hello@purplepotato.io from the email address on your subscription and we will cancel it for you within one business day.

What happens when you cancel

Your subscription remains active and your site stays online through the end of the term you have already paid for. After that date, your site will go offline and we will no longer host or maintain it.

Your domain and your data stay yours. On request we provide a one-time export of your content and any customer data, and help you point your domain elsewhere. If you want to keep the actual site and host it yourself, you can buy it out for a one-time fee equal to six (6) months of your monthly plan — see the Terms of Service for details.

We do not issue prorated refunds for the unused portion of a billing period — see our refund policy.

Restoring after cancellation

If you wish to restore service after cancellation, contact us and we will set up a new subscription. Depending on how long the site has been offline, a fresh setup fee may apply.
